"This week's Silverstone test has been focussed on set-work and tyre evaluations ahead of July's British Grand Prix. Tuesday was a rather inconclusive opening day for us, given the changeable wet weather conditions, which prevented us from completing any consistent running. On Wednesday we were able to run a massive 125 laps, easily finishing our extensive tyre evaluation programme. Today, we turned our attention to set-up work and a more tyre comparisons. The test team mechanics have done a thorough job, which has been instrumental in allowing us to enjoy a trouble-free week.

The car has reacted reasonably well to the track, but it has been quite bumpy during the session, something that I have also noticed at other circuits this year. Overall, though, I think we can be pleased with the work we have completed for Silverstone in parallel to what the team is doing in Monza in preparation for the next races in Montreal and Indy. I am now heading off to Brazil to spend a couple of days back home before heading up to Montreal on Tuesday for the Canadian Grand Prix."
