Berkswell & Balsall 10 Leamington 11
By Coventry Telegraph
November 19 2008
SECOND-PLACED Leamington returned to winning ways and kept up the pressure on leaders Old Laurentians in more comfortable manner than suggested by the scoreline. Spa were always in the driving seat and, adjusting their game plan to the small pitch and Berkswell's forward strength, absorbed all the hosts had to offer before conceding a late penalty try. Fly-half Tom Secher opened with
a penalty for Leamington and added a second in an exchange of kicks before finishing off a break by Alex Carroll, crashing over for an unconverted try to secure an 11-3 half-time lead.

Playing up the slope and against the breeze, Leamington held the territorial advantage for most of the second half but were unable to add to their tally before Berkswell's late penalty try and conversion.
