After such a blistering start Street inevitably lost some of their impetus, but after resisting a spell of pressure from the Kettering pack, they eased further ahead on the half hour through a Richards penalty before his conversion of an Andy McGrory try took the half-time score to 41-0.
With the outcome beyond doubt Street's second half performance was subdued in comparison to the first 40, but hard-working Garry Challis added a try on 55 minutes and, after an unconverted Kettering try, Thatcher - now playing at centre - cut through to complete his hat-trick, Richards converting.
