The C23 is an entirely new design for 2004. It abandons the twin-keel concept pioneered by Sauber in favor of a more conventional and stiffer single-keel chassis. For the first time Sauber will use the current year's Ferrari engine (rebadged as "Petronas"), as well as their 7-speed gearbox.
