Villeneuve completed a mammoth 163 laps today to set a best time of 0:58.647. This time puts him in the same range as Massa's best.
"Thanks to great weather conditions all three days we were basically able to finish with our scheduled test programme already yesterday," said race engineer Mike Krack. "This allowed Jacques to concentrate on in-depth set-up work for most of the day today. In addition to this, he validated some cooling options for the new rear and compared different rims. Overall we can say that we are pleased with the outcome of this test."
Team SAUBER PETRONAS will test the week after the Spanish Grand Prix from 11 to 13 May in Le Castellet.
