In a surprise anouncement Renault informed today that Jean-Jacques His will be leaving at the end of May. His was Director of Engine Development in the French squad and leaves after 20 years of involvement qith the French squad.

In a surprise anouncement Renault informed today that Jean-Jacques His will be leaving at the end of May. His was Director of Engine Development in the French squad and leaves after 20 years of involvement qith the French squad.
The team announced it as a decission taken by the own His as a career change, what could lead to speculations of seeing him going to other teams.
His had a vast experience with Renault and was a vital contributor for the Six World Championship Titels won by Renault between 1992 and 1997.
Many insider have criticized this season the power of Renault's engine and has been acknowledge by the team as the main aspect in which they had to improve.
As a matter of fact the team announced that they were expecting some extra horse power for the next race in Austria in 12 days.
Very recently Renault hired several engine engineers from TWR including former Cosworth old employee John Hilton .
