With dry conditions for most of the day and temperatures reaching 26 degrees Celsius, there was again a lot of traffic at the Italian race track. 12 drivers took to the track in preparation for the forthcoming Belgian and Italian Grands Prix.
Nick did 84 laps and accumulated a total of 487 kilometres. The BMW Sauber F1 Team driver set a personal best time of 1:23.725 minutes. Fernando Alonso (McLaren) was the fastest driver of the session, clocking a time of 1:23.155 minutes.
Nick continued working on the set-up of the car, concentrating mainly on mechanical adaptations. He also did a comparison of the two tyre compounds which will be used for the Italian Grand Prix. Although the weather conditions were somewhat difficult in the afternoon, the team was able to complete the planned programme.
On Thursday, Robert Kubica will take over testing duties from Nick.
