The Chinese Grand Prix weekend's third free practice session proved to be a satisfying one for the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers. In dry and hot conditions, with temperatures of up to 31° C, both Robert and Nick completed four stints and succeeded in honing the setup of their BW Sauber F1.07 for qualifying and race.
Robert was the clearly busiest driver of the session. The Pole lapped the "Shanghai International Circuit" 23 times and on the first flying lap of his final eight-lap stint, the Pole clocked his personal minimum time of 1:37.024 minutes to finish seventh on the time sheets.
Nick drove a total of 18 laps and also set his fastest lap time in the first timed lap of his final stint. With a lap time of 1:37.176 minutes, the German secured ninth position.
The fastest lap time of the session was set by Ferrari's Kimi Räikkönen who crossed the line in 1:36.100 minutes.
In the qualifying session, starting at 14.00hrs local time (07.00hrs BST), Robert and Nick will try hard to again secure grid positions that should allow them to add more World Championship points to their own and the team's tallies.
