October 19 2007
The final Grand Prix weekend of 2007 in Sao Paulo began with rain for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. On a wet circuit, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica only completed one installation lap over the course of the first 90-minute practice. .
The trackside thermometer showed 18 degrees at Interlagos. But instead of Brazilian sunshine, the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers were greeted with rain and a wet track for the morning session. Still, within a few seconds Nick was out on the circuit. However, he only completed one installation lap to check the systems in his BMW Sauber F1.07. Team-mate Robert Kubica also completed just one installation lap shortly after Nick.

This was the only opportunity spectators at the "Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace" got to see the BMW Sauber F1 Team. The poor conditions kept Nick and Robert in the pits until the end of the session.

Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) was the fastest in first free practice, setting a time of 1:19.580 minutes. The second free practice session starts at 14:00hrs local time (17:00hrs BST). The forecast looks good for more action this afternoon.
