2007 Season Review: Facts and figures

101 World Championship points, two podium finishes and a total testing mileage of more than 20,000 kilometres: here, we have compiled interesting BMW Sauber F1 Team facts and figures of this year's Formula One World Championship season, for you. .



49,029 kilometres is the distance covered by the team in the 17 races.

17 times out of 17 the team scored points during 2007.

9 times both cars finished in the points.

2 podium positions were achieved by Nick Heidfeld in Canada and Hungary.

17 times both cars made it into the top ten in qualifying.

23,732 test kilometres were covered between 1st January and the end of the season.

8.6 million flying miles were covered by the staff of the race and test team in 2007.

8 BMW Sauber F1.07 chassis were used between the rollout and the final race of the season. 5 were used in races (chassis nos 03, 04 ,05, 07, 08). Chassis nos 01, 02 and 06 were used only for testing.



14 times in the 17 Grands Prix the team introduced aerodynamic
modifications.

The exceptions were the USA Grand Prix, at which the same medium downforce package was used as in Canada the previous week, and the last two races of the season, where the upgraded F1.07 was introduced.
