Barcelona Day1: Heidfeld & Klien work in wet track

On Monday, the BMW Sauber F1 Team kicked off its final testing programme prior to the Formula One season opener in Melbourne. On Barcelona's "Circuit de Catalunya", Nick Heidfeld and Christian Klien covered a total of 546 kilometres. .

Programme: Due to the wet track proper test work was delayed until the latter part of the morning session. When the track finally had dried up Nick Heidfeld and the team's new test driver Christian Klien continued to work on the set-up of the BMW Sauber F1.08. Driving the car in dry conditions for the first time Klien further familiarized himself with the car doing system checks and some basic set-up work. In the afternoon both drivers followed the team's testing program as scheduled. Completing 75 and 42 laps respectively Heidfeld and Klien continued to develop the car. The main focus was on collecting data using some new parts.
