And now BMW Sauber leads the WCC!
By BMWF1Talk
April 6 2008
Despite not winning a race yet, BMW Sauber is already leading the World Constructors Championship, 1 point ahead Ferrari (30 versus 29). Till Malaysia it was Mclaren leading. If we are not mistaken its the first time since 2003 that BMW achieves it! .

And why?

Thanks to the team and drivers consistency.

BMW Sauber is the only team to have made it to the Q3 with both drivers for most races (all 2007 and the 3 races of 2008) which is an impressive record.

Plus, both of their drivers have finished in the points during 2008, excepting Kubica in Australia, after Nakajima crashed in his back during a SC period.

What is better for the team, BMW Sauber has shown that they can keep up with Mclaren's race pace (Ferrari are, and will be too strong).

So now it is clear that BMW has real chances of finishing 2nd in the WCC.

We will see who makes the biggest step forward with its new package in Barcelona, in 3 weeks.
