First day of testing in Silverstone
By BMW Sauber F1 Team June 24 2008
Two days after the French Grand Prix, Robert Kubica was on duty again for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. The Polish driver covered a total of 82 laps in Silverstone, England. Robert today concentrated on set-up work regarding the forthcoming British Grand Prix.

With sunny skies and temperatures reaching 20 degrees Celsius, Robert completed 422 kilometres on the 5.141-kilometre track. Robert's fastest lap was clocked at 1:20.955 minutes. Felipe Massa (Ferrari, 1:20.188 min) was the fastest driver of the session.

The first day of the three day test at the Silverstone circuit was successful for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Robert Kubica completed 82 laps with no technical problems and, while testing different set-up options, found some good and interesting directions for the team to explore. The programme also included work on the aerodynamics, and the team is hoping these will lead to a good performance for the British Grand Prix next week.

Day two will see Robert driving again. He will continue with the set-up and aerodynamic work. Also on the busy agenda will be Bridgestone tyre testing for the Silverstone race.
