Rampf announces 'big update'

The BMW Sauber F1 Team will only be making detailed improvements to be F1.08 before the end of the season. However, Technical Director Willy Rampf promises a "big update" at the Italian Grand Prix". The BMW Sauber F1 Team has already achieved its goal for the 2008 season.

 The team from Munich and Hinwil not only celebrated the first victory in its short history - Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld even achieved a one-two.

This has given the BMW Sauber F1 Team immense confidence in the F1.08, which has so far been consistently successful and reliable. "We don't have any major modifications planned, but will continue to concentrate on optimising details", says Rampf. "Of course, there will be new turning vanes, or new wings for the engine cover, but certainly no redesigned car."

Visible changes will be made to the BMW Sauber F1.08 for one Grand Prix. "There will certainly be a big update, which will also be visible, for Monza," announces Rampf. "That is a circuit with low downforce."

The Monza circuit is known as the fastest track in Formula One. It is common for top speeds to reach over 350 km/h. Nick and Robert will race in the Italian Grand Prix at the "Autodromo Nazionale di Monza" on 14th September.
