Kubica ends Hockenheim preparations
By BMW Sauber F1 Team
July 10 2008
On the third day of testing, the BMW Sauber F1 Team successfully concluded its preparations for the forthcoming German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring. With temperatures reaching 31°C degrees and sunny skies, the BMW Sauber F1 Team today concluded the work on the car's set-up with regards to the coming Grands Prix.

Robert Kubica covered a total of 107 laps (490 km). His personal fastest lap was clocked at 1:15.869 minutes. Felipe Massa (Ferrari) was the fastest driver of the day, recording a time of 1:14.989 minutes.

As Nick Heidfeld had done over the past two days, Robert today tested different set-up solutions not only for the German Grand Prix but for the future as well. Not concentrating on a single fast lap time he collected valuable data on the two tyre compounds (medium and hard) nominated for the German Grand Prix.

In perfect weather conditions Robert also took the opportunity - given to all teams by the Hockenheimring organisers - to conduct start tests not as usual in the pit lane but on the start and finish straight. Several pit stop practice runs summed up today's programme. The BMW Sauber F1.08 ran without problems the whole day increasing the Hockenheim total to 1,286 kilometres, finishing a positive test session for the team.
