Heidfeld tests new 2009 slicks in Jerez

On Thursday, Nick Heidfeld continued the four-day testing of the BMW Sauber F1 Team in Jerez de la Frontera. With conditions hot and sunny all day, the German was busy working with the 2009 slick tyres. With temperatures reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius, Nick was one of ten drivers who took to the 4.574-kilometre track in the South of Spain.

Programme: Taking full advantage of the sunny weather with high track temperatures Nick Heidfeld today concentrated on development work with the 2009 slick tyres. With the BMW Sauber F1.08 car running for 444 kms (97 laps) the engineers collected valuable data on mechanical and aerodynamical setup options for next year’s car.

What comes next: On the last day of the Jerez test Nick Heidfeld tomorrow will work on setup solutions for the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix.
