Heidfeld ends Jerez tests after 99 laps

On Friday, the BMW Sauber F1 Team completed its four-day testing programme at the "Circuito de Jerez". Nick Heidfeld was on duty and completed a total of 99 laps. Weather conditions once again turned out to be summery at the track in Southern Spain, with temperatures reaching well over 30 degrees Celsius.
The BMW Sauber F1 Team rounded up its preparation programme for the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix with Nick completing a total of 99 laps on the 4.574-kilometre track.
His personal best time was clocked at 1:19.915 minutes.

On the last day of the Jerez test Nick worked on the aerodynamical and mechanical setup of the BMW Sauber F1.08. In hot weather conditions the team evaluated different setup solutions with regards of the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, which usually is run in hot weather conditions as well.

In the morning Nick did a precautionary stop off the track when one of the car's sensors failed. Once the mechanics had changed the sensor the team could resume the testing programme as scheduled.

Covering 453 kms (99 laps) in hot weather conditions today the team made good progress in preparation for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team's next stop will be Budapest, where at the end of next week the Hungarian Grand Prix is on the calendar.
