By BMW Sauber F1 Team
August 29 2008
On the third day of testing, the BMW Sauber F1 Team successfully concluded its preparation for the Belgian and Italian Grand Prix at the "Autodromo Nazionale di Monza". With temperatures reaching 30° C degrees and the sun shining, the BMW Sauber F1 Team today concluded the work on the car's setup with regards to the upcoming Grands Prix.

Robert Kubica covered a total of 57 laps (331 km). His personal fastest lap was clocked at 1:24.089 minutes. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) was the fastest driver of the day, recording a time of 1:22.967 minutes.

Today Robert continued to work on the setup of the BMW Sauber F1.08 with respect to the Italian Grand Prix. He tried different solutions on the aerodynamical and mechanical side as well as sampling the tyre options for the Monza race.

In the morning Robert had a minor off. Although the car sustained only little damage to the left front the repairs were time consuming. The team continued with its testing programme as scheduled after the lunch break. Alas a couple of red flags as well as a small electrical problem cut Roberts track time down to 57 laps.

Nevertheless with three days of testing in Monza the BMW Sauber F1 Team concluded its successful preparation for the upcoming Belgian and Italian Grands Prix. Nick Heidfeld and Robert completed 1.294 kms (223 laps) in total.
