The weather conditions at Spa-Francorchamps continue to make the BMW Sauber F1 Team's preparations for the Belgian Grand Prix difficult. In changeable conditions, Nick Heidfeld proved to be the quickest. In the third practice session for the Belgian GP, the two BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers once again had to cope with a wet track.

Some 11 minutes into the session, Nick Heidfeld was the first driver to opt for going out, despite the adverse conditions. At this point in time, the third sector of the "Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps" was hit by a rain shower - making preparation work even more difficult, following the rain showers that had fallen throughout the night and earlier in the morning.

Consequently, the 31-year old opted for an appropriately cautious approach in the early stages of the session. He drove his first stint on intermediates, however, 35 minutes into the session the track started to dry and the BMW Sauber F1.08 was shod with dry weather tyres. Nick completed a total of 19 laps and with his 1:47.876-minute lap took top position on the timesheets.

Robert waited about 40 minutes before going out for his first stint. On the drying "Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps", he completed a total 12 laps and set a personal best time of 1:49,250 minutes to finish 13th.

In the Belgian GP qualifying session, beginning at 14:00hrs CEST (13:00hrs BST), Nick and Robert will try hard to secure the best possible grid positions for the race on Sunday.
