- The Canadian Grand Prix proved to be a historic event for the BMW Sauber F1 Team: Robert won the race in Montreal and Nick added to the success by finishing runner-up, thus giving the team a one-two.
- In all, the BMW Sauber F1 Team pairing secured 11 podium finishes. Four of these successes were achieved by Nick, with Robert participating in seven presentation ceremonies.
- In Bahrain, Robert gave the BMW Sauber F1 Team its maiden pole position. During the course of the season, the 23-year old qualified for a position on the first row of the grid three times, while Nick's best grid position was fifth - which he secured four times.
- In both the BMW Sauber F1 Team's two home races, in Malaysia - the home of Premium Partner PETRONAS - and Germany, Nick set the fastest race lap. Another feat that hadn't previously been achieved by a BMW Sauber F1 Team driver.
- Nick proved to be the most consistent runner of the season: in every single round of the 18-race season the 31-year old made it to the finish line. Meanwhile, Robert also benefited from the outstanding reliability of the BMW Sauber F1.08, contesting the season without encountering any technical failures. Nonetheless, Robert had to cope with two early retirements: in Melbourne, he was pushed off the track by Williams driver Kazuki Nakajima and at Silverstone the Pole went off and was left stranded in the gravel.
- In its most successful season to date, the BMW Sauber F1 Team finished third in the Constructors' Championship - with a total of 135 points to its tally. The gap to Constructors' Champions Ferrari amounts to just 37 points. At the end of the day, Nick and Robert scored 34 points more in the 2008 season than in 2007.
