Technical analysis of the new F1.06

This is another section I will run over the year: the technical analysis, where I will inform you about the most important technical upgrades of the car. In this first part you will read about the general changes of the F1.06, and the reason for what they are for.

 The principal regulation change in 2006 has been the introduction of the 2.4l V8 instead of the 3.0l V10 engines. This has caused a loss of power of about 200hp, so to compensate it the teams have tried to improve aerodynamic efficiency by reducing the drag. That’s the main reason why the new back-end and engine cover has being reduced to its limits.
