The Frenchman will join the recently signed Sebastian Vettel of Germany to com plete the line-up for next year. "It has been a long time coming, but here we are!" said Bourdais. "I must also thank Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing for letting me pursue my dream and allowing me to test for Scuderia Toro Rosso a few times this year."
The three-time Champ Car champion, who is currently in the hunt for a fourth title, had hoped to join the ranks of F1 drivers in 2003 with Arrows after becomming the 2002 F3000 champ, but lost the chance when the team folded.
