Seb talks about where he stands with team-mate Vettel

After scoring 2 points at his debut race at the Melbourne Grand Prix, earlier this year, Sebastien Bourdais has failed to score points since, and has been out raced and out qualified by his younger team mate, Sebastian Vettel, since the introduction of the STR3 in Monaco.

"We all have a driving style that suits us, and mine is ill-suited to a car that understeers in fast corners and oversteers in tight corners, I'm having trouble adjusting to it, one minute I'm not pushing hard enough and the next I'm over-driving, whereas Sebastian is better at adapting to it.”

Having admitted that he can not get the best out of the STR3 to compared Sebastian Vettel, Bourdais is now focused upon making minor changes to the car, rather than big alterations, in order to get the car to suit his driving style. “I somewhat regret the time I've spent looking for grand ideas on how to adapt the car to my driving style," he added. "Now I'm concentrating on a few details, I'm taking small steps and it seems to be paying off. It's still complicated, but that's just how it is."
