Tires:
Each driver will be permitted to use fourteen sets of dry-weather tires for each event. They may use no more than four sets during the Friday free practice sessions and no more than ten sets during Saturday and Sunday.
A single tire supplier (Bridgestone) shall make two different in tire compound specifications available to all teams during a GP weekend. The compound choices will be the same for each team.
Practice:
The length of the two Friday free practice sessions has been increased from 60 minutes each to ninety minutes each.
Team are no longer permitted to use a third car in the Friday practice sessions. They may still use a third driver on Friday, but that driver must use one of the two primary cars.
Engines:
The two engine per GP weekend rule no longer applies to the Friday free practice sessions.
Engines homologated and used during the final two races of the 2006 season must be used throughout the 2007 - 2010 seasons.
Safety Car:
When the Safety Car is deployed, no cars are permitted to enter the pit lane until the entire field is collected up behind the Safety Car.
Before the Safety Car returns to the pit lane at the end of a caution period, all lapped cars that are positioned between lead lap cars must pass the safety car and come around the track to rejoin the field at the back of the lead lap cars.
