The field was, the team press release was keen to point out, covered by under two seconds so the team were satisfied with thier relative performance.
Adrian explained the difference between his and Fisi's time, "On the last set of tyres I couldn't improve my time and didn't get the grip I expected and locked up into turn 12, but it was not so bad overall."
ITV commentator suggested that Bridgestone would've brought softer tyres with them had they known it was to be so cool in Turkey. Fisi alluded to this lack of grip, "The balance is not bad, but we just need more grip and more downforce to move forward with the grid position."
Encouragingly, Mike Gascoyne pointed out that "We've shown that our race pace can be more competitive than the one lap pace, so we can certainly look to race the cars in front of us tomorrow."
Directly ahead of Force will be Nelson Piquet and Sebastien Vettel who set identical lap times. Hopefully we can look forward to some good racing from our boys.
