The 2008 GP2 Car

GP2 Series Technical Regulations are, simply, that each car is to be run as specified by the GP2 2008 details below. GP2 is a single specification series, and as such no individual developments or upgrades are permitted and all structural parts must be repaired by Dallara.

Electronic features:

Magneti Marelli Marvel 8 ECU/GCU including data logging system.
XAP power supply management unit.
CAN data acquisition pre-equipment.
F1 EM motorsport Marshalling system.
Beacon receiver.

Rear suspension:

Double steel wishbones, pushrod operated, twin dampers and spring suspension.
Adjustable ride height, cambers and toe. 
Four way adjustable Koni dampers. 
Adjustable anti-roll bar.

Wheels and Tyres:

F1 standard wheel dimensions
OZ magnesium rims
GP2 series specific Bridgestone slick tyres.

Safety standards:

FIA F1 safety standards including
Front, side, rear and steering column impact tests.
Front and rear roll hoop, impact structures and monocoque push tests.
Anti-intrusion survival cell protection panels.
Wheel retainer safety cables.

Camera equipment:

Roll hoop, nose cone and face shot camera pre-equipment.

Overall length 4867 mm
Overall width 1805 mm (bodywork 1500 mm)
Overall height 1047 mm (including FOM roll hoop camera)
Wheelbase  3120 mm
Overall weight  688 kg (driver on-board)

Performances:
