Sebring Test Sessions
By Andrew Cutler March 7 2008
The IndyCar Series held what was originally supposed to be it's last pre-season test this week at the Sebring International Raceway, a 1.7 mile, eleven turn road course. Once again, only the veteran ICS teams were in attendance: the former CCWS squads will get a make-up session in two weeks.

Each team got two days to practice during the four day session. The Andretti-Green, Rahal-Letterman, Roth & Vision squads had the track on Monday & Tuesday. AGR driver Tony Kanaan was the class of the field both days, notching a lap at 112.337 on the first day, and then one at 113.732 on the second.

Drivers from Ganassi, Foyt, Dreyer & Reinbold, Panther & Penske ran on Wednesday & Thursday. These two days belonged to Ryan Briscoe, who set a lap at 113.916 on day three, then one at 114.689 on day four: Penske stablemate Helio Castroneves also broke the 114 mark with a lap at 114.627 on Thursday.

Also of note; Dreyer & Reinbold gave both Milka Duno and occasional ICS wheel-smith Townsend Bell (pictured above) seat time at Sebring after announcing that they will share driving duties in the #23 car during the 2008 season. Duno will get 11 races; Bell will get seven (D&R will try to qualify both at Indy).

Next up for ICS will be "make-up" tests for the former CCWS teams. They will get track time at Sebring on March 19th & 20th, and at Homestead on the 24th & 25th.
