The 27 year-old Brazilian brings increased sponsorship funding from Sangari, an education services company that already helps support the career of Conquest's other driver, Enrique Bernoldi. The switch will take place immediately, with Camara racing this weekend at Kansas Speedway.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to be driving for Conquest Racing", Camara told reporters. "This has always been a goal for me, to get to the IndyCar Series. It’s been hard work since 2005 when I came to the United States to race."
Team owner Eric Bachelart said that Perera will be kept on as test driver, but will be released to another squad should a race seat become available to him.
