All UK Line-Up For D&R
By Andrew Cutler
February 2 2010
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will offically present their 2010 IndyCar driver line-up a little later on today, but Racer.com has already beat them to the punch. Mike Conway will be back for a second season with the squad, to be joined by Justin Wilson, who is moving over from Dale Coyne Racing.

The 26 year-old Conway had an up and down rookie season in 2009, managing one top-five and two other top-ten finishes in a year that also saw him involved in his share of on-track incidents. It would appear that D&R is confident that he will learn from those set-backs and improve in his sophmore campaign.

The signing of Wilson, who brings sponsorship from furniture maker Z-Line Designs with him, is a coup for D&R, who have spent the past two years splitting time in their second car between a handful of part-time drivers (last year it was Tomas Scheckter, Milka Duno and Darren Manning). It is also a blow to Justin's former squad, Dale Coyne Racing, which was hoping to expand to a two car outfit for 2010.

“I'm very excited to be joining Dreyer & Reinbold," Wilson told Racer. "The deal was done really fast. It was just a short time ago that we started communicating, I went to have a look around the shop, and I was very impressed with everything they've been doing since last season.”

Hopefully, the signings at D&R will now open up the 'log jam' that has kept the other mid-to-back of the pack squads from formalizing their driver line-ups. We have yet to hear from NHL, HVM, KVRT, Coyne and Conquest. The strongest rumors going are that former Andretti driver Hideki Mutoh will be at NHL, possibly as their only driver this year, and that Robert Doornbos will be back at HVM. KVRT is said to be hopeful to bring Mario Moraes back, but there may be issues with his 2009 sponsors. Coyne has annouced a 'partnership' (I'm still not quite clear as to whether or not it is an actual sponsorship deal) with the Boy Scouts of America for one of their cars, but have been silent as to who the driver might prove to be.
