Narain Hungary for Jordan EJ15b to race.

Doornbos Friday Test

Jordan's EJ15b still isn't ready to race and may not even hit the track competitively until the Hungarian Grand Prix, the 13th round of the 19 races this season.

The car was due to debut at the French Grand Prix at Magny Cours, two weeks ago, however cooling problems forced the team to delay the car's official race launch.  Since then, the car has appeared on Friday test sessions in France and at the British Grand Prix.

Jordan are currently at Paul Ricard, testing the 15b chassis but it appears that the team are again to delay the debut race of the car through to the end of July when the Grand Prix circus hits Budapest.

However, Narain Karthikeyan suggests that the car is far quicker than the current EJ15 and should provide the team with regular top ten finishes.  There has been recent speculation that the team may even axe the whole project and continue to run the remaining races with the EJ15.  "The aerodynamics package is completely different." said Narain.  "I think I will easily finish in the top-10 with the new car".
