Massa's Ferrari Contract Extended
By Dale Calkins October 17 2007
In a move which essentially crushed any suggestion of Fernando Alonso moving to Ferrari for the 2008 season, Felipe Massa's contract was extended with the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team. The Brazilian joined Ferrari as a race driver in 2006, and will remain with the team until and including the 2010 season.

Massa's Ferrari
Contract
Extended

The Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team has announced an extension to Felipe Massa's racing contract. Massa orinigally joined forces with Ferrari in 2001, as a test driver. He would continue under Ferrari contract during his time as a driver with the former Sauber team. Finally he became an active racing driver with the Scuderia at the start of the 2006 Formula 1 season.

His contract has now been extended until the end of the 2010 Formula 1 season. This has effectively squashed any rumour of Fernando Alonso moving to the Ferrari team for the 2008 season.  Ferrari will also continue with other current driver Kimi Raikkonen beyond the 2008 season.
