Ferrari 248 F1 Debuts At Mugello (High Res Photos)

Ferrari have released their brand new Formula 1 racecar, named the 248 F1 today at the Mugello Circuit. Originally thought to be named the F2006, the 248 F1 will be a main contender in the World Championship this year in the hands of Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa.

The "24" in the new name is derived from the fact that Ferrari's engine is a 2.4 litre and the "8" from the fact that the engine is a V8. This name seems appropriate as the main aspect which is different from this year's car over last year's is the engine.
