Daniel Ricciardo was the driver through both days, logging 76 laps on Day One before a 'technical problem' - the team did not elaborate beyond that simple explaination - brought his efforts to a halt. Day Two would see only fifty laps completed by the Aussie before a driveshaft issue sidelined him.
Nonetheless, Ricciardo and STR seem well satisfied with what they accomplished. Apart from the usual stuff (trying out various aero set-ups), the squad worked on rehearsing for an actual GP weekend by sticking to the sort of timing schedule - when they can work on the cars & for how long - that is in effect under those circumstances.
As at Jerez, Ricciardo posted some pretty respectable times when compared to the other teams. He posted a 1:23.618 on Day One and a 1:23.639 on Day Two.
Jean-Eric Vergne will take over the driving duties for the remaining two days of this current test session.
