16:05 Iím sure Williams would have liked to get Russell on-track sooner than this. When a team is splitting its running across drivers there is inevitably the potential for a delay, even with a lunchbreak to commence preparations. Seat/pedal adjustments take time after all.

But most other teams handle this without much of a setback Ė Magnussen has managed 34 laps in the Haas, and Bottas has 23 laps to his name. Hulkenberg has completed 12 since taking over the Renault.

We know Williams is running in a ďcompromisedĒ manner today, to use Kubicaís terminology, but at this rate they are going to end the first test with fewer laps than most teams had after the first day.Scott Mitchell

The time spend would be terrible if it was just a driver swap. I'm sure it wasn't just that. They were working on other stuff.

Yes the delay did seem to be that more work was done. I suppose they just have to get parts on the car now and not later.

Cant wait till the next round of testing when we will probably be pushing the car a lot more.

I doubt it will happen but I would just love it if we could beat Stroll's time in the Racing Point (worst team name ever) today. I imagine his head would explode.

pitted after 11 laps nearly 60 laps today still we could do a bit more mileage

Itís crazy with so little track time weíve wasted so much time swapping drivers. In the past Williams were ruthless to drivers, team came first, so I really donít understand this constant attempt recently to be fair and give equal track time.

If that was the FW41 we would have seen Russell spinning for the 5th time by now and locking the tyres every other corner.

15:20 The Williams looks quite tidy through Campsa. Itís doing what the driver wants, it turns in and sticks in the corner. Russell isnít able to be too aggressive but itís able to ride the inside kerb quite well. Itís early days for them and will take time to build up confidence but at least they are building for next week in a car they can prove is working properly after the rush to get it here. And, it hasnít stopped on track yet.

Damon, If the team really took so long just to change drivers they'd simply make them run complete days and swap the seat at night.

Obviously the testing team knows that time is a priceless asset during testing. It's comical to think otherwise.

They didn't just swap drivers. Come on. Be realistic. They had a spanish siesta, then they swapped the gear, then they had some tea, and then they let George out.

Could have been a far worse report so that is a positive.

Just read some of the interview from Roberts morning and he says some good points some still average but still waiting for some more new small parts.
early days lets wait till next weekend.

If i was to read between the lines i would maybe say balance is better but maybe still average down force.

That would be my guess but i have no real idea.

Kubica with a full ride was always like that. He said he wasnt even happy after winning the canadian gp because he could have drove that race better.
We should not expect him to be all happy and positive in front of the cameras now - even if the car will be good.

Yes, it's true what you write. Kubica is very demanding especially to himself. In our opinion (Polish fans) Robert was angry that he had too little time to check the capabilities of the car (12 laps), the rest of the time it was checking the car systems. He knows that he has a lot of work and little time, and he needs to be prepared himself. Australia close ...

Aero work for Russell. Running the aero measuring devices behind the front wheels now on the C4 tyre.
