That is one thing for sure you will not get from Robert wishful thinking.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS MAN ALL DAY LONG.

I think for all of our sanity a driver like that is a blessing.

ihme that is what I have shared, we are 0.2 faster when we were cruising. We did not do performance runs the very least I think we should be at least another second faster when we do the performance runs

The one thing i remember Claire repeating was to bring performance in her earlier interviews about the new car,so maybe they decided to start with a fairly simple aero package
to make sure they had dialed out the 41s issues.

what do you think.

Now that it's about speculations, I do mine.

Ferrari's TD says when they started the design process the result was to be 1.5sec slower than last year and the finished product confirmed that (that's before more development till hitting track and also alot of this faster times is down to new asphalt and warmer track temps by what Pirelli guys say).

Sergey says when we started it, teh gap was 2sec with last year car.

To me that says our starting point is an even bigger gap with top cars (half a second bigger gap).

And now that's about development rate to see how much can we bring and maybe we do it on faster rate in factory than others.

Guys look at the results after the morning session on the first day! Keep in mind that these teams have done their shakedowns already. Having that in mind we did good yesterday, probably a lot more pace to show next week:

And now look at the final results after day 1:

Vettel 1:18.161 (169)
Sainz 1:18.558 (119)
Grosjean 1:19.159 (65)
Verstappen 1:19.426 (128)
Raikkonen 1:19.462 (114)
Kvyat 1:19.464 (77)
Perez 1:19.944 (30)
Bottas 1:20.127 (69)
Hamilton 1:20.135 (81)
Hulkenberg 1:20.980 (65)
Ricciardo 1:20.983 (44)

Thank you for posting some data to lend credibility to a similar post I had the other day!
We had an average Day 1 lap in the 1'20" to 1'22" range.

That was so misleading last year. That was a brilliant time on softs and it seemed we were on pace. I'm sure we will see this car into the 1.18s this year

I hope we will be into 1:18s on day 5, but I'd like that time to be done on C4's grinning smiley Also cant wait for a proper long runs. Too bad the 2nd round wont be televised but I'm sure there will be some periscope streams etc.

Well a car that can effortlessly put in a 1.20 should be able to go 2s quicker when it's dialled in and the driver is pushing. Let's hope they don't make me eat my words

If all the penned parts are on our car next week then i would like to see a few 1:17s
at some stage maybe Friday.

I know we have to get as much mileage under our belts first and replacement parts
will be non existent so the drivers will not be able TO GO BALLS OUT till Friday
afternoon maybe.

That would mean to me we are in the ball park.

i wonder if the Ferrai will put it in the 1:15s next week or just keep it in the 16s now and again.
