Sky reported at 21.49 that the teams had come out of a meeting in a hotel , some wanted to race but majority didn't. Thing is I am not sure if its the teams that don't want to race but are at loggerheads with the Fia who want to.... hence the confusion... As the Fia have not announced its off.

Sky planner has practice sessions removed from the schedule now too..

yes as now posted above.. Organisers confirm its cancelled.

I'm really sad for Williams . . . for whom the last two seasons could have been canncelled entirely without regret.

Absolutely 0 out of 10 for the organisers who did not anticipate this eventuality.

Yep I think I agree with this, it really has turned out to be one big mess.

Its amazing that in a post a few weeks back now I said something bad could happen with the Australian GP because it was going to kick off on Friday the 13th.

Has this all happened because it is Friday the 13th???

This is from Saward - I was curious which teams had voted to race vs not race.

The teams met on Thursday night and voted whether to race or not. Mercedes, Red Bull, AlphaTauri and Racing Point voted to go ahead, while Ferrari, Renault and Alfa Romeo voted not to. McLaren did not attend the meeting, while Williams and Haas abstained. However after the vote Mercedes changed its position after discussions with headquarters and thus the vote went from 4-3 to 3-4.

How strange does it all feel. No Grand prix, no motorsport, no football and everybody trying to stay safe.
How quickly things can change.
