Encouraging, certainly. A couple of caveats though.
McLaren were particularly unlucky with their issues. Haas had a rubbish weekend. And RBR has Gasly. (Ricciardo left a big hole at RBR.) That said, it's great to see them recover from such a shambolic start.

The team in trouble now appears to be Alfa, who can't get their car working at all.

Yep, I'd agree with those caveats. Sometimes luck (in this case, good luck for Renault, bad luck for some competitors) has a strong hand to deal.

And yeah, Alfa seem all at sea at the moment. A shame, because their improvement last year was quite a story to watch.
