The Ferrari F2007 will be raced in a new and much improved livery for this weekend's Grand Prix of Monte Carlo. In the past, Ferrari changed their color scheme to that which better suited their Marlboro sponsor. This meant that the traditional Ferrari red, was replaced with a more television and sponsor friendly orange tinted red.

Now that Marlboro will appear less often on the Ferrari car, the team has decided to return to the proper, much darker Ferrari red. It may seem odd that at this Grand Prix (one of the only remaining races to allow tobacco sponsorship) Ferrari would choose to run both the Marlboro logos, with a non-Marlboro red color on the cars. This is due to Marlboro wishing to ensure maximum identification between Ferrari and their tobacco brand. The darker red will continue to be on the Ferrari for at least the rest of this season, so Marlboro wants to be associated with it now.

Photographs and wallpapers of the lovely new livery will be available shortly.
