The final practice sessions are traditionally the time for the commentary to focus on the front of the grid in preparation for qualifying predictions. Although Arrows were quiet during this session, with Heinz-Harald not even recording a timed lap, Enrique still managed to nibble at the top 10 times
Heavy rain overnight had left the track a little damp for the start of the 45 minute 3rd free practice session.
The entire grid get out for an early installation lap as soon as the session opens, with the exception of Enrique Bernoldi.
As local boy Alex Yoong, Mark Webber and Eddie Irvine scrap it out early for the early quickest lap time, Enrique Bernoldi finally makes it out of the garage. Heinz-Harald Frentzen looks to be in trouble though, with mechanics swarming all over his A23 in the garage.
Enrique Bernoldi had a progressive session completing 7 timed laps and posting the 11th fastest time. Heinz-Harald Frentzen never made it out of the garage and consequently didn't register on the time sheets at all.
