According to several news sources, as of this afternoon the OrangeArrows transporters were still at the Leafield factory, and not on their way to Germany. Sources available to this site remain adamant that the team will compete this weekend. The media in general have been pretty harsh on the team over their actions in France, despite the fact that, in all probability, they probably saved the team to fight another day. It is believed that Tom Walkinshaw checked with Bernie Ecclestone before deciding to only run for one qualifying lap, but French race stewards reportedly informed the governing body’s lawyers anyway.

Several news sites have suggested that Arrows’ actions served to bring the sport into disrepute (!), and that the team would probably not get away with a repeat performance. Do not forget, however, that our ‘mole’ at the French Grand Prix heard directly from a team member that Arrows would race in Germany. This site believes that, far more than any media speculation.
