Jerez Test 19:07:2006 Day Two

The second day of testing for the WilliamsF1 team at the Jerez circuit would again see only a single driver, Alex Wurz, representing the team. On a hot and windy day Alex would conduct various setup comparison's as well as tyre tests for both the German and Hungarian Grand Prix.

Alex would finish the day tenth fastest with a time of 1m:19.097. This four day test will be the final one for the team prior to the August test ban period.

WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented: “Alex completed 95 laps on his second day of testing here at Jerez today in very blustery, but hot and dry conditions. We started with some comparison tests on the set-up of the car and then moved on to test some new suspension components. In the afternoon, we carried out further set-up changes before completing brake work and longer runs for compound checks.”
