Wurz third fastest in opening Italian GP practice

WilliamsF1 Friday driver Alex Wurz would finish third fastest in opening practice session for the Italian Grand Prix. Both Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg would complete only a single installation lap.

WurzFor the WilliamsF1 team the opening practice for the 2006 Italian Grand Prix would see Friday driver Alex Wurz finish the session with the third fastest time, 1m:23.868.

For Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg the session would see them complete just one installation lap each. The session was red flagged early when the Honda of Anthony Davidson stopped out on the track at the Curve Grande with smoke coming from his engine.

Once the session restarted it would be BMW Sauber driver Vettel who would set the fastest time, with only twelve drivers setting a time during the session.
