With AT&T Williams driver Nico Rosberg finishing the race in a fantastic third place in the 2008 Australian Grand Prix he had every right to feel happy with the result for both himself and the team.

In the post race interview Nico said: "I'm really happy. To get a podium in F1 is great. It has been a while, three years or something.

"It's nice and I am pleased for the team, they have been working hard all winter, making good progress and it has been great."

He added: "My qualifying could have been slightly better but everything happened as planned. I was hoping to get out in front of him (Heidfeld). It was close and I had to back off. I had a fantastic start and that is what helped, thanks to the engineers."

"I think we have a solid car to start the season with. I hope to have a nice development and we will have a good year."

I think he was the most excited man out there...specially in the room before going for podium celebrations...

Job well done, this is a truely great start for us, having both cars finishing in the points, Nico on Podium and Kazuki - despite a difficult race still manages 6th - Well done and roll on Malaysia.

Bit peed Kazuki will have to start 10 places back from his qualifying place there however.

Nico Rosberg will win multipls WDCs. He's talented, never whines and just gets on with the job. Superb talent!

And so he should be happy, he drove a great race from start to finish, he didn't put a foot wrong.

is start was excellent, his race pace very quick and although the pit stop let us down a tad he kept his head and stuck with the BMW of Heidfeld throughout all the safety cars.

reat race for the lad, a well deserved podium.

I dont realy know why, but i am just so happy for Nico and his first podium. Maybe the reason is that i consider him to be the one who realy deserved it after all this time. I am as exited as if i was the one at that podium =) Congrats Nico!

Great to see Nico up there, drinking and splashing Champagne. I hope it's the first of many Nico podiums and Williams' points.

A deserved result for Nico and for all the Williams supporters who have been waiting for this for a long time.
