For BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan
Pablo Montoya the 2002 Formula One season was one where he would not secure
a race victory but would still come away feeling content with his
achievements. Montoya
was to say:
"I think from my personal goals this season has been a success."
Juan Pablo added: “I am third in the championship and I can't really complain. My second year in F1 and I am in the top three. That's not bad. I am the frontrunner after Ferrari.“ Montoya would see his
position in the final results for the championship move from sixth in 2001
to third in 2002, scoring thirty one points in 2001 and fifty in 2002. Juan
Pablo would also establish himself as a front-runner when it came to
qualifying, scoring seven pole positions last season.
Montoya said: "The qualifying was really amazing this season.” |
