Both AT&T Williams drivers would maintian their positions in the top ten after the third and final practice session for the 2010 German Grand Prix. Rubens Barrichello would finish in eighth while team-mate Nico Hulkenberg was in tenth. Both drivers have been in the top ten across the two days of practice which is encouraging for their chances in qualifying.

The final practice session for the 2010 German Grand Prix would begin with a wet track following intermittent rain but by the halfway mark of the session the circuit would dry sufficiently to allow the teams to take to the track and work their qualifying set-ups. For the next twenty minutes the majority of the field would be out on the harder prime tyres.

Barrichello ... I Beat The StigBut iy would take the use of the super soft tyres by Vettel and Alonso with 10 minutes to go that would see others follow suit as they all attempted their practice qualifying runs.

For the AT&T Williams team they would go into the final session confident given that the FW32 is considerably improved as a result of the introduction of a new floor and the use of an exhaust-blown diffuser.

Rubens was even happier in that he was able to Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber with T-shirts proudly boasting "I am quicker than the Stig!" This was as a result of Rubens setting the quickest time by a Formula One driver on the BBC show Top Gear.

The session would see both Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg in the top ten and with twenty minutes of the session complete it would be Vettel who was fastest with a 1m:24.988 but with Nico second, and Rubens third. Rubens would drop down the order as the session progressed and with the end of the session Rubens and Nico were again both in the top ten with Rubens in eighth and Nico tenth. Nico's time was good enough for sixth at one point.
