With the Williams F1 team seeing their drivers finish Friday practice for the Korean Grand Prix in twelfth and eighteenth the team was hoping for improvements come Saturday's practice and qualifying. With the start of the Saturday practice there would be a rush of drivers taking to the track for their installation laps with both Williams drivers, Bruno Senna and Pastor Maldonado, coming out on the soft tyre. The track would clear while reports had Raikkonen using the Coanda exhaust system. Several drivers remained in their cars including both Williams drivers.

The first driver to return to the track would be Raikkonen followed by Ricciardo. Forty five minutes of the session remaining and Vergne would take to the track. Pastor would leave his pit joined by Pic. Pic was facing a ten place grid penalty for installing a ninth engine. Raikkonen would set a 1m:46.111 as more drivers came out for their first runs. Bruno was amongst them as Ricciardo set a 1m:40.983 to be fastest. Both Force India cars were out on the track joined by both Red Bull's. Raikkonen's next lap was much better setting a 1m:39.748 with Vergne third. Pastor's first lap would be a 1m:40.283 to be second. Everyone were on the soft tyres in these early runs. Hulkenberg was now third pushing Ricciardo to fourth. Vettel was now second with a time of 1m:40.017 with Di Resta fourth behind Pastor. Bruno was down in tenth with a 1m:50.310, but on his next lap he would move up to seventh with a time of 1m:40.593.

Grosjean was up to second followed by Vettel, Pastor, Webber, Hulkenberg, and Ricciardo. Pastor had improved with a 1m:40.050 as Bruno dropped to ninth. As more drivers came out the times would rapidly change with Rosberg moving into third and Vettel would go fastest with a 1m:39.086. Pastor would pit as Hulkenberg moved into sixth, 1m:40.075. Webber would find a few tenths setting a 1m:39.897 to be fourth. Team-mate Vettel had pitted joining both Lotus cars. Pastor would tell his engineer that his car felt much better than yesterday. Both Webber and Rosberg would put in improved times with Webber now fastest, 1m:38.766, and Rosberg third. While in his pit Bruno would take on a new nose. With thirty minutes remaining the track had cleared with drivers completing their first runs. Alonso was out on the track and would set a 1m:39.084 to be second. Perez was now sixth, 1m:39.677, while for Williams Pastor was now tenth and Bruno fifteenth. Button had moved up to tenth with a time of 1m:39.958.

Massa was now sixth but this would become seventh as Hamilton went second with a 1m:38.845. Bruno was now seventeenth and back out on the track. Button would move ahead of Hamilton with a time of 1m:38.808. Pastor was also back out with both Williams drivers still on the soft tyre. At the front Hamilton would go fastest with a time of 1m:38.464. Button would also improve with a 1m:38.511 to be second. Webber was now third followed by Alonso, Vettel, Raikkonen, Massa, Rosberg, Schumacher, and Grosjean tenth. Pastor had dropped to be fourteenth and Bruno seventeenth. Both McLaren's would pit as Bruno's engineer was happy with the new front wing. Vettel would return to the top of the times with a 1m:38.215. Grosjean was now sixth with a time of 1m:39.229.

Rosberg and Schumacher were now ninth and tenth as Pastor pitted. Pastor and Bruno were fifteenth and seventeenth. Fifteen minutes remaining and Bruno had also pitted. With ten minutes remaining the track was empty as drivers go ready for their qualifying simulations. In the Red Bull pit there was a lot of work taking place at the rear of Webber's car. With nine minutes remaining Alonso would be first out followed by Hamilton. More drivers started to come out with the super soft tyre on every car. For Williams Pastor would come out first followed by Bruno with the track now very busy. Alonso would go fastest in sector one and a personal best in sector two. He had lost time in the final sector to only move up to fourth, 1m:38.705.

Vergne was up to twelfth, 1m:39.448, as Raikkonen took fourth, 1m:38.686. Massa was on a quick lap being fastest in sector one. Massa would finish with a 1m:38.791 to be seventh while Pastor would set a 1m:39.017 to be ninth. Vettel would go a quarter of a second faster setting a 1m:37.970 to be fastest. Webber was till in his pit as his mechanics put in car back together. Pastor would drop to eleventh as Rosberg and Hulkenberg went faster. Bruno would set a quicker time, 1m:39.706, but remained down in eighteenth. Pastor was now twelfth as the session came to a close. Webber would not get out as Pastor improved to be ninth with a time of 1m:38.833. At the front Vettel would find even more time setting a1m:37.642 to remain fastest by over half a second. Grosjean was now fourth with a 1m:38.582. It was confirmed that Webber's problem was an engine electrics issue.

With the end of the session it would be Vettel fastest from Hamilton, Button, Grosjean, Raikkonen, Alonso, Webber, Massa, Pastor and Hulkenberg tenth. For the Williams team its was encouraging to see Pastor finish the session in nineteenth but it must be a major concern that Bruno could only manage eighteenth. For qualifying it would be hard to see Bruno get past the first period while Pastor's prospects were looking far better.
