Team Summary:
The Williams Martini team would see Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa finish in eleventh and twelfth on a day that saw the session interrupted with rain falling during the session. Both Williams drivers would complete just six laps during the session with only one timed lap on the dry tyre prior to being forced back into their garages with rain falling. Apart from not getting much track time it was overall a trouble free session for both drivers. But it was a session that saw neither driver have much track time. Quickest was Hamilton with a 1m:29.725 followed by Kvyat and Ricciardo.

Felipe Massa:
Felipe would finish the session in twelfth with a 1m:34.679. Felipe's session would see first out running on the intermediate tyre completing just one installation lap. The track conditions would start to improve seeing Felipe return running on the soft tyre. But the rain would return seeing him pit again. Felipe would run wide at the first corner but was able to continue. The rain would be falling heavily seeing Felipe out of the car waiting for the conditions to improve. Felipe was in ninth and this stage with half an hour remaining. With the end of the session he would drop down the order to twelfth.

Valtteri Bottas:
Like Felipe Valtteri's first session was run around the changing weather with Valtteri running on intermediates fro his installation lap. Valtteri would follow Felipe out for a soft tyre run but would pit after one lap with the rain falling. Valtteri would join his team-mate in the pits watching the rain. With the conditions improving Valtteri would return to the track and would see himself eighth, one place in front of his team-mate. Valtteri would have a moment taking to the gravel. Valtteri would finish the session in eleventh.
