| The
morning of day three of the BMW WilliamsF1 teams test at the Circuit de
Catalunya would see Ralf Schumacher replace Juan Pablo Montoya while Marc
Gene would continue his normal test role.
After
the morning session it would be Ralf who would set the fastest time, a time
that was only three tenths of a second off the track record. Ralf's time was
a 1m:15.352. Ralf would continue with the FW25, completing thirty laps,
where as Marc would see further testing using the FW24D.
Marc would set the slowest
time of the session with a lap time of 1m:19.653.
Joining the WilliamsF1 team
was Ferrari who came along with both their new car as well as the F2002.
Rubens Barrichello would test the new F2003-GA, completing a total of twenty
three laps for the third fastest time. But the new F2003 would again suffer
problems when Rubens had to stop out on the circuit. Michael Schumacher
would test the old F2002.
Toyota driver Olivier Panis was second quickest but more than two seconds
slower than Ralf Schumacher. McLaren was at the circuit with Kimi Raikkonen
testing alongside David Coulthard after Pedro de la Rosa completed his work
with the team on Wednesday. Testing continues in the afternoon. |
