WilliamsF1 still in the game

For WilliamsF1 Technical Director Patrick Head the WilliamsF1 team are still very much in the game, despite statements from various parties who are saying that there chances fro success are slim.

Patrick HeadIn the Britain's Autosport magazine Head also made comments regarding the recent comments from individuals at BMW designed it would appear to destabilise things within the WilliamsF1 team.

These statements focus on the WilliamsF1 teams lack of success of late with their last win occurring over twelve months ago, and also how the 2003 season has started badly with the FW25  not living up to expectations.

Despite this criticism regarding the poor start to the season, which Head accepts, he still knows that the WilliamsF1 team are developing the new FW25 very quickly. In the interview Head said: "There is an overall acknowledgement that we started the season at too low a level, but we've improved the car a lot since the beginning of the year and we are on quite a strong development slope."

In respect of comments coming from certain parties at BMW Head added: "I am mildly disappointed in terms of individuals at BMW who think they can achieve anything through trying to rattle our cage in the press. It shows their limitations and it is a bit sad."

"We don't consider ourselves out of the game and when I see people say it will be a three-way fight between McLaren, Ferrari and Renault it just makes me smile. I suspect we will be players pretty soon."
