Montoya confident for 2004

As the BMW WilliamsF1 team works towards the start of the 2004 Formula One season team driver Juan Pablo is confident that he will be able to improve on his performances in 2003, where he finished third in the drivers championship after fighting with Michael Schumacher.

MontoyaFor 2004 Juan Pablo is aiming to secure the title, despite his move to McLaren in 2005. The team must ensure that they start the season off better than they did in 2003 where they did not start scoring points regularly until the Monaco Grand Prix.

On the BMW motorsport web site Juan Pablo said: “You know, at the beginning of the season we never thought about winning the title, so you have to say that we have achieved a massive improvement over the course of the season. My goal for a season is usually to be better than the year before, and I managed to do so.”

With his aim that of securing the drivers title Juan Pablo is confident that he can rely on BMW delivering another reliable and competitive engine. Juan Pablo added: “BMW has done a great job, and I think we will be enjoying a good engine advantage next year.”
